We all love to create the perfect outdoor space to entertain however mould and mildew can be a problem over the winter and raining seasons. What do you do now?
Below are tips for removing mould and mildew from your outdoor cushions.
The very first thing you want to do when cleaning cushions is to take a glance at the tag. The tag usually has very specific instructions on what you can and can't do. If there are no specific requirements, you can move on to cleaning them with products you have in the house. Obviously, if there are instructions, follow them to avoid doing the wrong thing and damaging your cushions.
Depending on the severity of the mould/mildew, you might need to repeat the steps a few times to move it completely.
If this doesn't work, you can use one part water with one part bleach and repeat the cycle. This should lift moulds and mildew out. IMPORTANT NOTE: check the manufacture’s instruction before you use bleach.
